Watch Out For These Indoor Plant Insects
Before you start indoor gardening, you should familiarize yourself with the insects that can infect your indoor plants..Knowing the pests can also help you in treating your infected indoor plants appropriately, if the plants get infected.
One of the most common plant pests is the spider mitesThe spider mites are yellow or green in color that are very difficult to detectThey multiply very rapidly and attacking the plant rapidly, leading to falling off of leaves and ultimately the plant is destroyedTo detect spider mite you will have to check below the leaves and tap the leaf over a piece of white paperSince these are colored they can easily be seen on white paper, if you look closelyTo remove them, spray the plant with insecticide and then spray with waterYou will get the required insecticide from a store selling plants.
Then there are the shell insectsThey look like small bump of wax on the stem or the leaf of the plantThese are so small that you will not be able to detect them with naked eyesYou can only see them when they have increased in numbersWhen this type of insect attacks the plant; the plant stops growing and eventually withers awayTo remove them you will have to spray insecticide on the plant.
